I'm Behind, I know

I've had a little issue with discipline in posting my pictures this year. It never helps that my computer chooses when I wants to let me post stuff to the blog and when it just wants to sit and "think about it" for minutes on end.

I'm working on it and really am taking photos this year. I appreciate that you stopped by for a visit even though my photos are behind and now apparently dated incorrectly on these most recent ones. I'll have to work on correcting that...

150/365 ~ Susan's 50th

An awesome friend and family member celebrated her 50th by renting out the local skate/batting cages facility. Tons of people were invited including the kids the minister to each Sunday morning!

149/365 ~ Tutti Frutti

This has to be one of the worst pics I've ever posted... BUT when you stumble upon a promotion for $1.00 frozen yogurt with all the fixin's you just don't pass that up!

Tomato Plants ~ 147/365

These plants were given to us a few weeks back. I finally got them potted last week and meant to take a picture of them then but time got away. They've nearly doubled in size since then!

The Reservoir ~ 146/365

Took a trip to a semi-local park (it's about a 30 minute drive) to have a picnic. Well, we didn't find the "perfect spot" and ended up dragging our cooler about halfway around the reservoir before finally stopping to eat. But it was still a lot of fun. Too bad it's forbidden to play in the water though, cuz' it was a warm day!

Back Yard Camping ~ 145/365

After failing to reserve our spot on our favorite mountain, I decided to set up the tent for the kids in the back yard. Yohn wasn't sure about sleeping out there with us but the kiddos can be pretty convincing. It was a fun night that we all thoroughly enjoyed and I imagine will be remembered by two kids for years to come.

Kid Fest 2014 ~ 144/365

A little bit of friend time this Memorial Day Weekend spent at our city's annual Kidfest. I wondering how many more years they will want to attend this yearly event until they feel too big to do it anymore.

The kids had a blast in the sports section and fell in love with puppies of all kinds in the vendors section (adoptable puppies from the county). Two of the kids even won Hermit crabs! Not mine thankfully, we have enough pets right now.

It was a hot day, it was a fun day it was an exhausting day. Bring it on again next year!

Loungin' ~ 143/365

When he's outside, this is usually where he is hanging out. On the top of the shed under the branches of the tree.

Track Team Party ~ 141/365

I got all four of "my" kiddos in this pic!
Love these kids and so proud of how hard they worked this season... even when they whined.

She Hijacked the Camera #2 ~140/365

Another filler picture... not sure what happened these past few days...

Could she have gotten any closer!

She Hijacked the Camera #1 ~ 139/365

Admittedly this photo was not taken today, as I cannot seem to locate the photo that was taken today. Was it accidentally deleted? I hope not, but I am beginning to wonder if maybe I forgot to get a pic this day.

As you can see, she was having a bit of fun in the bathroom mirror, instead of brushing her teeth!

Cock-A-Doodle-Do ~ 138/365

This crazy rooster! Remember when I said he had returned? Yeah... Pluses and minuses to his return, that's for sure.

That's him on our fence, crowing at 5:30 in the am. He had been crowing since before the sun was even up too. And boy he sounded close. No wonder! He was right on our fence!

Yohn wasn't thinking and at 5:30 let the dog outside. Koda, our German Shepherd would love to have this bird for a snack so I shot out of bed to ask him if he had checked to see if the rooster was in our yard before letting the dog out. He wasn't, thankfully, but was on our fence and we were fortunate that Koda was merely getting a drink, oblivious as it were, to the noisy alarm clock. After photographing chasing him down we let the dogs back outside.

Later that day, while Yohn was locking up the campus long around 9:30 pm, he noticed something funny on one of the chairs in our multi use room. At first he was thinking it might be a jacket, but decided to investigate further when it moved and found that the crazy animal was all cozied in for the night on the seat of a comfy chair. Apparently he snuck in earlier in the day and no one noticed he was there and locked him inside. I'm sure he was enjoying his accomodations when Yohn rudely placed him outside.

UPDATE: Sadly the adventures of Cornelius the Rooster may have come to an end as he has disappeared once again and who knows if he is gone for good this time or not.

Just Hangin' Out ~ 137/365

This was my view from across the parking lot today... he and his friends after school, just hangin' out.

Well... She's Comfortable ~ 136/365

Went into the nap room today to deliver a message and discovered this little girl sleeping... I guess she's comfortable!

A Bike Ride ~ 135/365

Our evening together was spent exploring the bike trail. We rode about 2 1/2 miles one way (and then back, of course!).

Dinner and a Show ~ 133/365

Using the trampoline as a stage, the kids put on a little show for us while we ate dinner this evening. They planned it for a few hours and even had a program to go with it!

The lighting was awful but the black and white is still fun!

Ouch! ~ 132/365

Spend most of the day filling in the bubbles on the test cover sheets and then fixing the students bubbles so they were completely filled in with no white showing and no marks outside. The callous on my finger got a definite workout today.

Mother's Day ~ 131/365

No he's not taller than me, I'm bending down for her. But it won't be too much longer...

Using Their Imagination ~ 130/365

They had a whole script going that I can't remember now. The stick was definitely a weapon of some kind.

And no, he didn't use the weed eater behind the trampoline so the four foot tall weeds are still there.

Manhood ~ 129/365

Learning to do some of the "man's work".
He loves it because it makes his muscles bigger.

She's in the pink in the front row with her clarinet.
He's in the back middle with the trombone.

She Loves Him ~ 126/365

She certainly loves him, but I not completely convinced the feeling is mutual.

Sharks & Minnows ~ 125/365

Last day of track practice and after Elisha running 3 miles and Bethany putting in another 2 1/2 they got to play a game. It's a cell phone photo, so I know the action's kinda hard to see, but I loved that their coach got right in there and played with them. Coach Jay is on the right in the blue shirt, Elisha and Bethany both appear to be streaking across the middle.

Sectionals ~ 123/365

Both of my kids qualified for the Sectional Championships (but neither one advanced from there). We spent a lot of time hanging around just waiting for the events.

Ka-ra-te! ~ 121/365

I couldn't resist posting this picture of T, my son's best friend. He was helping to put the high jump equipment away after track practice and say my camera focused on him.
