Finally got to give my "other boy" his Christmas gifts and spend some time with him tonight.

Gotta love free movie night at the drive ins. The Lego Movie and Frozen were the features of the night. Yohn fell asleep during the Lego Movie and Elisha and I fell asleep during Frozen. But everyone else fared just fine.

Good Buddies ~ 74/365

First meet of the 2014 Track Season and I caught this picture of the boys hanging out on the bleachers with us waiting for the next event. It was a hot one today, as it hit the 80's by late morning. (Hot for this time of the year anyways). 

I would have loved to have gotten more pics of the kids in their earlier events but because this is a volunteer organization we have to put in so many volunteer shifts per season and both Yohn and I decided to get some out of the way. He helped with the Softball throw measuring and I shepherded kids to the racing area during the relay races. Hard work I tell ya, HA!

Tippy Top ~ 48/365

We were just about to leave but then they asked if they could climb to the tippy top. To give you some perspective on this here's this photo:

Bethany is the pink spot toward the bottom and she's a third to halfway up. The boys are the red and blue spot further up and they are between halfway and two-thirds to the top. They had a blast challenging themselves like this, but did not like the hike back down.

Coach ~ 41/365

Tonight was the night of the team party. The boys got to hang out together one last time before going separate ways again for another seven months. Most of them go to different schools. If some don't return next year, it may be the last time they see each other.

Coach Kevin promises to be back next year, bringing with him not only his knowledge of the game, but also his deep desire to see these boys grow into men of good character. For this we are thankful, and also a bit sad to see the season end.

Truthfully, I was neutral this year as to who root for, but as you can see there were many happy Seahawks fans where we were tonight.

T had some special people in town today so they stopped in to watch the boys play. 

Yay! They won again too! The boys are finally on a roll. Too bad there's only two more games left. Sniff... sniff...

BTW.... Yohn and Elisha were half right about the Superbowl predictions...  ;0)
