The View From My Bike Today ~ 105/365

Training didn't go as well as planned today... and do you know how hard it is to take a picture while riding a bike, with a cell phone you're hoping you won't drop? :)

Sweet Smelling Walk ~ 104/365

Went for a walk today... Apparently the kids at track have caught wind that I am willing to walk them down to the school to use the bathroom and now I've become kinda popular. But these sweet smelling flowers along the way are at least a bonus!

Outside This Evening ~ 103/365

She spent the evening outside playing in a world made up in her imagination, just her and her dinosaurs (there might have been cars some too).

Exhausted ~ 102/365

Another day on the track field, another day of the impromptu nap.

Can I just brag on my two for a minute though? Today the kids both did amazing! It was his second time running the 800 (2 laps around the track) and her first and they both did fairly well. There are a few things to work on before the qualifying meet, but I expect they will be competitive in this area. I can't wait to see how far they'll go and am so proud of their accomplishments and the hard work they've put in to get to this point. AND the fact that they realize that running the longer distances does not make them inferior to the other kids, but just skilled in a different way. 

Love them both so much!

Superman ~ 101/365

Now that it is warming up outside, these awesome "snuggie" style blankets are on sale, and guess who was the excited recipient of one? He said I made his day.

Late Dinner ~ 100/365

Because the kids have track practice on Thursdays and they get home so very late, I either have to 1) have dinner prepared before we all leave the house, 2) don't leave and let their dad take them by himself or 3) go out to eat. Guess which option we chose tonight?

Ribbons ~ 99/365

These ribbons are starting to build up. I gotta figure out a better way to display them for the kids!

Optometrist ~ 98/365

My baby girl had to go see the optometrist today. It was discovered that she needs glasses for reading. They'll be here in a few weeks.

It was a beautiful day in San Francisco. We visited the SS Jeremiah O'Brien and spent nearly 2 1/2 hours exploring the large ship. This is us sitting on the deck with Alcatraz in the background.

Big Bird ~ 92/365

This guy and his mate (or this gal and her mate) live in the trees in the field by the track the kids practice at. We see and hear them quite frequently each time we are there and they are always a delight to look at. Today I happened to snap this picture of one of them, although I later realized that my camera was on a funky setting and I didn't quite get the pic I was hoping for. Not sure if its a falcon or a hawk. Maybe I'll get a better photo with better details next time.

Her New Pet ~ 91/365

Not really a new pet, but she found this ladybug pupa outside and put it in a jar until it fully developed into a ladybug. Then she enjoyed it for a few minutes before setting it free outside to find its first meal.
